Mehmet Ünal holds a BA degree in business
administration from Istanbul University. He
also has a MSc. degree in economic research
and econometrics from the University of North
Texas.
Mehmet started work career at his university
years: In 1974, he worked for a local transport
company as accountant for two years. During
his graduate study in the US, he was teaching
assistant at the University of North Texas.
Mehmet's corporate work career began in
1982 at ARAMCO (Arabian American Oil Co.)
where he was employed in the manpower and
training department. After coming back home
in 1987, he took various responsibilities
at major corporations in finance and mostly
in human resources functions. Starting from
first to last, Ciba-Geigy (now as known
as Novartis), Pepsi-Cola International,
Philip Morris and Coca-Cola. Mehmet assumed
a regional responsibility role covering
several Middle Eastern countrires in Pepsi.
He was involved in start ups, mergers, acquisitions
and numerous human resources projects in
organizational development. He left Coca-Cola
in March of 2001 and began doing consulting
work in management and human resources.
Since then, Mehmet has personally led more
than twenty major consultancy projects.
He also teaches "Human Resources Management"
course at Bilgi University, MBA program.
